How to beat dark Rai in Pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky?

i have a level 94 Shinx and a 92 Chimchar. but i am stuck on dark rai cause of the ryperior's lightning rod. i would win, but i always lose. anyone have any helpful wondermail or tips?
